News being reported on Rock & Ice, Mounteverest.Net and elsewhere. The motivation by China and Nepal is still under question. I still think the Olympic Torch relay to the top is ridiculous. I am also concerned about the social impact this will have the Nepalese with the removal of all expedition teams (e.g. tourism money).
